Process
A case file is opened, conducted, and concluded — in five stages.
Each stage below writes to the case file. Coordination, configuration, and audit remain in the same record end to end so the final PDF reads as a single defensible document.
Case opened
A neutral coordinator opens a case file naming the parties and the contested asset. The auction configuration is recorded at intake: the minimum bid increment, the refundable deposit, the round schedule, and the comparator universe the bidders will judge against. The configuration is the case file foundation; nothing in later steps changes it without a documented amendment appended to the file.
- Parties, asset, and unit of value recorded in a single case file
- Minimum increment and refundable deposit recorded up front
- Round schedule and comparator universe frozen before any bid is posted
- Amendments after intake require a documented reason appended to the file
Comparables submission and AI surfacing
Each party submits comparables confidentially. The platform normalizes the submissions — sorting by asset class, vintage, and discount class — and surfaces an AI-assisted valuation view shared with the parties, with provenance attached to each comparator. Offer values are not disclosed at this stage; the discussion is the dataset, not the bid.
- Comparables submitted under the same confidentiality terms as the bids
- AI-assisted view surfaces a normalized comp set with provenance
- Vintage, asset class, and discount class are recorded per comparator
- No offer value is visible to any party during this stage
Sealed bid rounds with masking and transitions
Bids are posted into sealed compartments; no plaintext offer is shown to any party until the configured reveal window. Round transitions — advance, hold, conclude — are driven by thresholds recorded in the case policy, not by spontaneous judgment. Every rewrite and every counter is appended to a round-by-round audit log on the case file, so the path between opening bid and final position is reconstructible end to end.
- Sealed compartments mask every offer until the reveal window opens
- Advance / hold / conclude transitions are threshold-driven, not discretionary
- Every rewrite and counter is appended to the round-by-round audit log
- The path from opening bid to final position is reconstructible end to end
Winning bid revealed and audit-ready summary
At the close of the final round, the sealed repositories unmask and the AI reconciliation is appended to the case file. The file now contains a defensible, audit-ready summary: every offer, every counter, every comparator and its provenance, every weighting assigned by the AI neutral, and the written rationale for the midpoint. Counsel can read the summary without re-running the model.
- Sealed repositories unmask at the close of the final round
- AI reconciliation appended to the case file alongside human content
- Every offer, counter, comparator, and weighting is recorded
- Summary is written in plain language for counsel, not in model internals
PDF export and case conclusion
The platform renders a counsel-grade PDF through the installed document renderer (legal-financial register; integer-cent money formatting throughout). On export the case is marked concluded and the bid form is locked from further entry. Only a coordinator-role action, with a documented reason appended to the file, may reopen a concluded case.
- Counsel-grade PDF rendered with integer-cent money formatting
- Export timestamp seals the PDF and marks the case concluded
- Bid form is locked from further entry the moment the case concludes
- Reopening requires a coordinator-role action with a documented reason
Procedure is the legal-financial register: deterministic, documented, and reconstructible. Adapted per case file, with amendments appending rather than replacing.
